We think that sustainable business needs to be recognized by society, as human is made to live in society.

The present, business of Nagaileben are planning, manufacturing and marketing medical clothing for 3.7 million people who engage in nursing or caring in Japan.

Concentrating on niche market, accumulating power.

In 1969, Nagaileben focused on medical clothing from multipurpose clothing, such as for cook workers or hairdressers.

In niche market, “Medical market”, Nagaileben has accumulated abilities steadily with realizing small-kind mass-production and introducing the latest material.

In 1995, with peripheral business of “medical” market, Nagaileben started “care” market product as a second pillar to meet demand of aging society.

Adding value to our products

We have continued to innovate medical clothing with catching customer’s needs.

For example, in 1940s, Nagaileben succeeded in realizing polyester medical clothing with introducing the latest oversea technology of material. Also, noticing functionality of material, Nagaileben introduced function of antielectricity and antimicrobial into our products as standard.

We have continued to improve higher quality products, such as research on wearing comfort, mobility, color psychology and design.

From 1969, Nagaileben focused on medical clothing and started to manufacture and sell.

Support for women

Women principal domains: Medical and Sewing

In recent Japan, “Support for women” is highly recommended.

Products of Nagaileben are mainly for women, who work as a nursing staff or a care worker. Nagaileben has produced their uniforms for a long time.

At production sites of Nagaileben, many women staff has been engaged in sewing . We have arranged working environment for women staff who have various life events.

Activities of Nagaileben are linked to support for women.

Contribution to Regional Community

Job creation at domestic and overseas production factories

Nagaileben has manufactured medical clothing by itself. In 1969, Nagaileben established factories at Akita prefecture Japan. In 1989, Nagaileben began to manufacture at co-operation overseas factories. Nowadays, overseas factories are in China, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

At these production bases, Nagaileben manufactures thousands of products, custom-made products and competitive products. Also we have contributed to the development of regional community such as job creation, ability development and life circle improvement.

We have carried out various activities lest children in hospital should fear medical clothing or hospital.

Environmental Management

Social Responsibility as Corporate Citizen

Nowadays, environmental issues are global common issues. Environmental consideration has become important effort for corporate activities.

Answering the needs of the times, Nagaileben acquired ISO14001 certification in 2005. Production factories of Nagaileben use a management system based on ISO 14001. We strive to improve management structures and reduce environmental impacts, such as re-use of shredded waste cloth material.

Considering not only ourselves but hospitals, Nagaileben developed new product “COMPELPACK”, which shifts “Re-use” from “Disposable”, and has sold it. “COMPELPACK” is the surgical wear which enables hospital to reduce waste and be more economical.

Nagaileben has a basic policy.

  • Continue stable dividend payment with payout ratio of 50%
  • Acquisition of treasury stock
Considering reinvestments which will carry out for the purpose of further growth, we will continue stable return to Shareholders.

Future of Nagaileben

To grow steadily and stably

The number of nursing and care staff will increase stably, as demand of improving social security.

Nagaileben marked 100th anniversary in 2015. We will continue prizing our company spirit “Nagaism”, specializing in medical / nurse / care business area, expanding its market and developing best products for our customers.
